Herman - departed 20 April 2010
Herman is our first official Sanctuary Anipal!!!
Nothing is known about Herman's life before he was dumped at the shelter in Kansas.
He is an older gentleman with a most handsome, frosty face.
He is guessed to be 11, 12, 13 yrs - not really sure!
But growing old and being a little grumpy now and then is no reason to be tossed aside.
Welcome, Herman, to a loving home where you DO matter!!!

Update on Herman:
- Herman LOVES hot buttered rolls!
Mommy Andrea found out the hard way... she dropped one, he gobbled it up,
then snuggled up close because he was so grateful for rolls falling from the sky!
- Herman HATES towels!
Mommy Andrea had a couple of fancy ones that her mom had made, hanging from a drawer handle.
Herman destroyed it...TWICE!!!
- Herman finds the cozy cave...
Soon he will find out that he can get INSIDE it!

Jethro's Anipal Sanctuary lost a resident today.
Herman, the oldster from Kansas, passed away in his sleep inside one of the dog beds.
He had showed no signs of illness or being in any pain today,
and ate his breakfast just like every other morning.
You were well loved old man, and you were wanted.
He died in a warm bed, with a full tummy.
There's a little dude up there waiting to kiss your head again.
